UN Day 2015: Global Challenges and the Need for International Cooperation
October 24, 2015 marked the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations with a special educational forum.
Lucinda White, president of the Maine chapter of the United Nations Association, delivered a welcome address, followed by remarks from Peter Yeo, president of the Better World Campaign and vice president for public policy and advocacy at the United Nations Foundation. After an introduction from Bowdoin President Clayton Rose, U.S. Senator King spoke about “Global Challenges and the Need for International Cooperation.” Thank you to Bowdoin College for hosting this event.
